Your food journal is the heart of Kaloria—it's where all your logged meals live, organized by date and meal type. Access it anytime by tapping theJournal iconin your bottom navigation bar.

The journal screen has several key sections:
Date Header & Calendar
At the top, you'll see the current date. Tap it to open a calendar picker and navigate to any past day. Days with logged meals show visual indicators (colored dots).
Daily Nutrition Summary
Progress rings show your calories, protein, carbs, and fat for the day. Green rings mean you're on track, red means you've exceeded your goal.
Meals by Type
Meals are organized into collapsible sections: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snack. Each section shows total calories and can be expanded/collapsed by tapping the header.
Quick Add Buttons
Each meal section has a "+" button to quickly add new food to that specific meal type.

Each logged meal appears as a card showing:
- Food photo- The image you took (if available)
- Meal name- What the food is called
- Time logged- When you added it
- Calories- Total calorie count
- Macros- Quick view of P/C/F breakdown
- Serving size- Portion multiplier (e.g., "1.5x")

Made a mistake? Want to adjust portions? Editing is easy—just tap any meal card to open the Food Details screen.
What You Can Edit:
Serving Size
Use theserving dialto adjust portions from 0.25x to 5x. Drag it left or right, and all nutrition values update automatically in real-time.
Nutrition Values
Tap theedit iconnext to nutrition rings to manually edit calories, protein, carbs, and fat. A modal opens with text inputs for each value. Perfect for when you know exact nutrition from a label.
Meal Type
Swipe through themeal type selector(Breakfast → Lunch → Dinner → Snack) to recategorize a meal. Logged breakfast at lunchtime? Easy fix!
Date
Tap thedate fieldto move a meal to a different day. Useful if you forgot to log yesterday's dinner!
Notes
Add personal notes like "ate at restaurant" or "felt energized after". Great for tracking how foods affect you!
Editing Food Details

đź“‹ Duplicating Meals
Eat the same breakfast every day? Meal prep the same lunch all week? Duplicating meals is your best friend!
Method 1: From Journal (Swipe Action)
Swipe Left on Meal Card
In your journal, swipe left on any meal card to reveal action buttons.
Tap Duplicate Button
You'll see aduplicate icon(usually two overlapping squares). Tap it.
Review & Confirm
The Food Details screen opens with all the same values. You can adjust if needed, then it's added to today's journal instantly!

When you duplicate a meal, it copies everything—food name, nutrition, serving size, and even notes. But it always adds to TODAY, not the original date. You can change the date manually if needed!
🗑️ Deleting Meals
Logged something by mistake? Removing meals is quick and simple.
Method 1: Swipe to Delete
Swipe left on any meal card → Tap thedelete/trash icon→ Confirm deletion. The meal is instantly removed and your daily totals update.
Method 2: From Food Details
Tap the meal card → In Food Details screen, look for theDelete button(usually at the bottom) → Confirm. You'll be taken back to the journal.
Once you delete a meal, it's gone forever! There's no undo. If you're unsure, consider editing the serving size to 0 instead, or just leaving it—imperfect tracking is better than no tracking!
đź“… Calendar Navigation
Want to review what you ate last Tuesday? Or check your entire week? The calendar makes time-travel easy!
Tap the Date Header
At the top of your journal screen, tap the date (e.g., "Thursday, Nov 23"). A calendar picker slides up.
Pick Any Date
Days with logged meals show colored indicators (dots or highlights). Tap any date to jump to that day's journal.
Swipe for Quick Navigation
You can also swipe left/right on the date header to move one day at a time without opening the full calendar.

At the top of your journal (or on the home screen), you'll see nutrition rings that visualize your progress:
Calories Ring
Shows calories consumed vs. your daily goal. Green = on track, Red = over goal
Protein Ring
Grams of protein eaten today. Essential for muscle and satiety
Carbs Ring
Grams of carbohydrates consumed. Your body's primary energy source
Fat Ring
Grams of fat eaten. Important for hormone production and nutrients
These totals update instantly as you add, edit, or delete meals. No need to refresh—Kaloria keeps everything in sync automatically!

Every Sunday, swipe through the past 7 days to identify patterns. Did you hit goals consistently? Where can you improve?
Add notes about how you felt, where you ate, or if it was a special occasion. Future you will appreciate the context!
Track meals right after eating while details are fresh. Waiting until evening leads to forgotten snacks and inaccurate portions.
Went over your calories? Keep it logged! Awareness is key, and seeing the full picture helps you plan better tomorrow.
Made 5 identical meal prep containers? Log one, then duplicate it to each day of your work week. Saves tons of time!
